The Blue November comes to remind of the importance of prostate cancer prevention and early diagnosis not only this month, but all year round. The disease, which is the second most common among men, has no symptoms at the onset and can reach men of all ages, even if it is more recurrent above 50 years of age. According to the National Cancer Institute (INCA), about 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.
Understanding the importance of this issue for the population, Indigo supports the Blue November initiative and during November has been raising awareness among its more than 3,000 employees around Brazil about how to prevent the disease and encouraging them to share these information with family and friends.
If diagnosed early, prostate cancer has great chances of cure. For this reason, it is important that you talk to doctors for annual exams, exercise regularly, and maintain a healthy diet, always with the assistance of a professional.
